These terms govern your use of StepGate.
Acceptance
By using StepGate, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Free and Premium access
StepGate is available as a free Google Play app. The free version can protect one selected app. The optional StepGate Premium product is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks protection for unlimited apps; it is not a subscription and does not renew automatically. The price and purchase terms are shown by Google Play before confirmation. Payment, purchase records, taxes, and standard refunds are handled through Google Play according to Google Play policies and applicable law.
Premium ownership is associated with the Google Play user that completes the purchase and can be restored when that owning user is available in Google Play. Purchases are not transferred between Google accounts.
What StepGate does
StepGate helps limit access to apps you choose and can restore access based on your physical activity.
User responsibilities
- Choose which apps to control.
- Maintain required permissions for app functionality.
- Use the app in compliance with local laws and platform rules.
No medical advice
StepGate is not a medical device or medical app. StepGate does not provide medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease, medical condition, or addiction. Steps are used only to calculate access to selected apps.
Availability and disclaimer
StepGate is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation on every Android device or manufacturer firmware.
Refunds and support
Refund requests for StepGate Premium purchases are handled through Google Play where available. If Google Play directs you to the developer, contact us and we will review the request according to applicable law and Google Play rules. If a Premium purchase is refunded and its entitlement is revoked, Premium access ends and the free one-app limit applies again.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, StepGate and its creators are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from app use.
Changes
We may update the app or these terms over time. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated terms.
Termination
You may stop using StepGate at any time by uninstalling it. Access may be suspended if required by law or platform policies.
