Realmfront: Conquest

Privacy Policy

What the game stores, what leaves your device, and who else is involved. This describes how the app actually behaves, not what it might do later.

Who is responsible

Goethe47 is the developer of Realmfront: Conquest and the controller responsible for choosing and configuring the advertising services the game uses. Unity Technologies processes advertising data under its own terms and may act as a separate controller or as a service provider depending on the activity and the law that applies. What kind of app this is

Realmfront: Conquest is a free, single-player strategy game. It has no in-app purchases and no subscriptions: nothing in the game can be bought with money. Everything that another game would sell — extra points for permanent upgrades, and the bonuses in the shop — is earned by playing, or by choosing to watch an advertisement. The game is supported entirely by advertising, described below.

No account, no server

The game has no login, no registration and no player profile anywhere. There is no Realmfront account, which is also why there is no account-deletion page: see Deleting your data for what deletion means here. Matches are played against the game's own opponents on your device; no game server is involved and none of your progress is uploaded to us.

What is stored on your device

The following is kept in the app's own local storage, on your phone. We do not run a game server, so this copy is not sent to us:

None of this contains a name, an email address, a contact, a photo, a file, a message or a location. It is not tied to any identifier that would let anyone recognise you.

Advertising

Realmfront shows advertisements through Unity LevelPlay, Unity's mediation SDK, together with the ad networks whose adapters are included in the build. Ads appear in three forms:

To select, deliver, measure and secure those advertisements, the advertising services can process your IP address and approximate location derived from it (typically country or region), device and advertising identifiers, device and app information (such as device model, operating system version, language, app version and network information), diagnostic and performance information, and information about your interaction with advertisements — for example whether an ad was requested, shown, clicked or closed. This processing is done by those companies under their own privacy policies:

Unity's dashboard can change which advertisements and placements are served without an app update. Adding a genuinely new advertising network is different: it means putting its adapter into the build, which means a new version of the app, an update to this page, and an update to the Data safety section in Google Play before it goes out.

Your age, and your advertising settings

When you first open Realmfront, after choosing a language, the game asks which age bracket you are in: 13–17 or 18 or older. It does not ask for your date of birth and does not store one. The game is intended for players aged 13 and over.

If you are 13–17, advertising is never personalised and the advertising services are always told not to sell or share your personal information. There is nothing to choose, and the game says so on its own screen. This is not a way to have fewer advertisements: players under 18 see the same banners, the same rewarded videos and the same full-screen advertisements, at the same frequency, as everybody else.

If you are 18 or older, you are asked two separate questions, because they are two different things:

Both are shown to every adult player, rather than trying to work out where you are first. Both are stored locally on your device and passed to Unity LevelPlay before the advertising SDK starts. You can change them, and correct your age bracket, from Settings → Age & ads privacy. A change applies from then on; an advertisement already loaded may still have been requested under the previous setting.

Turning personalisation off does not stop advertising, and it does not stop technical data from being sent: an advertisement still has to be fetched and displayed, which needs the information described above.

Android also lets you reset or delete your advertising identifier in the system privacy settings. The exact path depends on your Android version and device manufacturer.

Children

Realmfront: Conquest is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. The game asks for an age bracket on first launch and treats everyone under 18 as not eligible for personalised advertising. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that involved their personal data, write to the address above and we will act on it.

Deleting your data

Everything the game keeps is on your device, and there is no copy of your progress on a Realmfront server. The app asks Android not to include its data in backups, so uninstalling it removes that data; clearing the app's data from the Android settings does the same and leaves the app installed. Some device-transfer features may still carry app settings across, depending on your device and system settings. Because there is no account and no server copy, there is nothing further for us to delete on our side.

Data already processed by the advertising services is held by them, not by us. Their privacy policy, linked above, describes how to ask them about it.

Location

The game does not read your device's location. The region you play is a chapter of the campaign and has nothing to do with where you are. Where the map data itself comes from is on the licences page.

Permissions

The game needs internet access, and that is used for advertising only. It does not ask for the camera, the microphone, contacts, photos, files or location.

Changes to this policy

If the app starts doing something this page does not describe — a new ad network, analytics, anything of that kind — this page is updated before that version reaches players, and the date at the top changes with it.
